Romanians Abroad is an online platform designed to connect the global Romanian community. In our work on the site, we focused on creating an engaging, user-friendly space where users can discover Romanian-owned businesses, communities, and organizations, as well as add their own listings​1​.

One of the key features of the site is the ability to explore various places and events of interest to the Romanian diaspora. We enabled users to filter their searches by category, allowing them to quickly and easily find organizations, places of worship, restaurants, services, art and history sites, and outdoor activities​1​.

As part of the project, we also aimed to infuse the site with a sense of the richness and depth of Romanian culture. One of the ways this was achieved was through the inclusion of Romanian proverbs and sayings, such as “The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that is it too low and we reach it”​1​.

A key feature of Romanians Abroad is its commitment to providing free listings for the Romanian community abroad. This inclusive approach is a testament to the site’s commitment to fostering connections and building a robust community among Romanians around the globe​1​.

In creating this platform, we had the opportunity to contribute to a project that not only showcases the vibrant Romanian community but also facilitates connections and collaborations across borders. We are proud to have been part of this initiative to strengthen and celebrate the global Romanian community.
